Expense
Account
How do I make a deposit to the expense account?
Does
the Expense Account carry over to the next semester? Is it refundable?
Yes, any value left in a student's
expense account at the end of the semester will carry over to the next
semester. Refunds are allowed the first two weeks of each semester,
and at the end of the spring semester. Refunds are by check and take
about 4 weeks to process, and the student must come to the UNC One Card
Office in person to request a refund. At the end of each spring semester
we will process cash refunds for students who have $150 or less left
in their expense accounts.
Can
cash be withdrawn from the Expense Account?
No.
Can
my student defer payment on their expense account?
No, expense plans cannot be
deferred. Value may be added to your student's expense
account by cash or check at our office, or using
Master Card online. Also, Wachovia customers who
have linked their cards may use the Wachovia funds transfer option to
add value to their expense account.
Do
you send out statements on expense accounts?
We do not send out statements
on a regular basis. However, we will be happy to print out statements
for any cardholder. The card holder must come to the UNC One Card Office
in person to request this service. You may also view
your account statement online using your ONYEN and password at: http://www.onecard.unc.edu/online.html
How
can I check my student's balance?
we are prohibited by federal law from giving account balances
out over the phone. The cardholder can
check their balance several ways:
- The cardholder can check
their balance in person at the UNC One Card Office during our office
hours.
- The cardholder can request
a receipt with their balance printed on it any time that they make
a purchase.
